Christening Day

Well the storm we were expecting hasn't arrived its a really nice afternoon out there.

A colleague/friend of mine asked me to once again make a christening card for her new granddaughter.  I think that if someone asks you more than once to make a card for them for such a special occasion then I must be doing something right.

Here it is

Christening Card using Spellbinders Crosses Two; Spellbinders D-Lites Wonderful Locket; Tonic Studio Corner Brackets;

The recipe for this card is:

Tonic Corner Dies Blossom Brackets
Spellbinders Crosses Two - three different sizes matted on top of each other
The sentiment was cut using the Spellbinders D-Lites Wonderful Locket purchased from ICONUK - I purchase all my dies where possible, from Iconuk they are a wonderful company and very very reasonably priced.
Centura pearl card
Pink glitter card from my stash
Pink heart gems from hobby craft
Gems from the Range
8 x 8 Blank White Card from the Range.

The method
Cut your centura card 20cm x 20cm and position your corner die on one of the corners and run through your chosen die cutting machine, I used my grand calibur on this occasion, then run through again with embossing mats.  Do this for all four corners.  Then cut out the sentiment (created using Word, printing on a laser printer) using the Wonderful Locket die from Spellbinders. Run the same die through the die cutting machine of your choice using the glitter card, but only embossing.  Attach the sentiment to the glitter card and then cut round making sure that you don't get an edge around the sentiment.  Attach the gems as required, then finally attach the whole of the topper to the 8 x 8 card, insert your sentiment to the inside of the card and your done.

Have a nice Sunday
