Good morning, and what a lovely day it is. Today's make is an engagement card which I was asked to make by a "friend" in one of the Facebook groups I belong to. She has seen some of my creations and her niece accepted a proposal of marriage whilst visiting the Eiffel Tower. How romantic is that!
It was a very quick make this one but using the Sue Wilson boxed card dies made it very easy.
Sue Wilson Wedding Shadow Box die again purchased from Iconuk
Grey pearl card from Payper Box which I purchased from the Great British Crafting Event held at the Bolton Arena earlier this year. I usually buy enough to see me through until the next show.
Crafters Companion White centura pearl card
Sue Wilson Heart Lattice embossing folder
Ultra fine glitter from my stash
Firstly I cut the grey card using the die along with all the elements. I only used the engagement ring die which I added some glitter to give it a sparkle effect, I also added glitter to the champagne glasses and the bottle and the heart.
I mounted the main die onto some embossed white centura pearl card with mounting foam pads and then using my perfect layers rulers (would not manage with out these, matting and layering has never been as easy) at the required matting size. I also cut a piece of the grey pearl card as the base layer. I then placed the embellishments on the card front and when happy glued them onto the white base layer. Time taken under 1 hour.
Have a lovely day and god willing I will be back tomorrow with another post.
