It looks as though I have posted twice today, but silly me forgot to press the publish button yesterday.
Today is a lovely sunny day. I have a lovely view from the office, I just hope it stays like this for a good length of time as I finish on Friday for two weeks and I have to say I am ready for the break.
I mentioned yesterday that I would post some of my recent makes with ingredients (if I can remember what I have used).
This was a card for a fellow crafter, these are the hardest cards to make firstly because they could spot a mistake a mile off, secondly will it be nice enough? Fortunately she was absolutely thrilled. The ingredients were
Shoe stamp by Stamps by Chloe
Sentiment also Stamps by Chloe
Papers not sure but I think they were from Stamps by Chloe
Glitter and Bling again from Stamps by Chloe
Frame for sentiment is a Tonic Studio die which I purchased from Create and Craft
This one was very easy to make and looked stunning. It was made using a Spellbinder die purchased from a fantastic company called Iconuk They are a fantastic company to deal with, their service is second to none and purchase 99% of my dies from them. The sentiment in the centre is a tonic studio die purchased from Create and Craft. The card used is Creative expressions Coconut White purchased from Hochanda and the black card I used is from Creative Crafting World
Made this card for a colleagues mum who was going through Chemo, we have never met but she has commissioned lots of cards from me in the past. The sentiment stamp is either a Justrite or a Creative Expressions on. The background is a Sue Wilson embossing folder and the centre piece is from the Sue Wilson New York Collection. I think it is the Times Square set. The card colours are Coconut white and Navy Blue from the Creative Expressions range.
This card was the most difficult card I have ever made, not from a technique point of view but from an emotional one. I returned to work from the Easter break this year to be told that a very special person in my life had died very suddenly. Denise had retired in December 2015 after working for 34 years at the college. She was such an inspirational lady who I will miss until I die. She wore the most tailored clothes and was always pristine in her appearance so I wanted to make a card to do her justice, and also something that her family would like to keep as a keepsake from her colleagues. Denise was respected so much within the college and so many people wanted to send their condolences and special messages for this special lady I decided to make a individual tags so that people could write their messages and memories of Denise in private and they could then post into the card holders on both sides of the inside of the card.
Pebeo Guilding Wax in Gold, Silver and Copper
Sue Wilson with sympathy die
Creative expressions in cream
Black card stock from Creative Crafting World
Sizzix Tag Die
Sheena Douglass Perfect Partners Anemone die cut from black card and enhanced using the Pebeo Gilding Wax
This is an 8 x 8 card made for a very special aunt. The sentiment is from Stamps by Chloe, as are the flowers which are stamped on black card and embossed in one of Chloe's WOW embossing powders.
The flower embellishment on the bow is also from Chloe's website. The topper was cut using a Spellbinder die and mounted on silver mirri card which was embossed only and then undercut to sit under the topper die cut. The embossing folder is a Sue Wilson embossing folder, again a black and white card.
These are cards made and just sit in my stash
