Feeling Arty

Hello again

I have strayed from card making for this project.  It is really something very different for me, but I have to say that I really enjoy just freewheeling and seeing where my art journey takes me.

I have been watching a lot of craft telly whilst I have been recuperating and was quite inspired by Leonie Pujol and her stencils and stamps.  I have had them in a drawer in my craft room for ages but always felt a little intimidated by them.  I am a perfectionist and going where the art takes me is quite hard for me but I have taken the bull by the horns and this is what I created.  So here goes folks.

For the background I attached the Art stencil with stick and spray and then  I used a few colours of colour cloud, Turquoise Cloud, Clear Day and Lemon Meringue blending them together with my sponges.  I got out all my Leonie Pujol clear stamps and just went with it. To fill in I also used some teeny weenie stamps I purchased years ago from Ali Reeves when she was promoting her mini mini stamps on C&C.  See if you can find the bumble bees and the dragonflies.   I then coloured some in using Spectrum Noir sparkle pens.  Not yet sure whether I like this or not but it is on the wall and the more I look the more I see and the more I seem to be liking it.  My only advice would be is to be patient, as the stamps can slip off the plastic stencil.  When I was happy I removed the stencil and rubbed away the glue residue with a special glue erase, again try Julia Watts crafts for these, the link is on previous posts.

Have a lovely day and hope you pass by again soon
